In West Kalimantan, Traditional food of this province such as Pengkang, Bubur pedas and many more food that come from in many kind regions of West Kalimantan.
Description       
         Bubur pedas, one for Traditional Foods come from Sambas. Bubur pedas is porridge that is not very spicy. Bubur pedas is mixed between a material with its other ingredients. Bubur pedas is made ​​from Ferns, Turmeric Leaves, Kesum Leaves. This food usually dish when visiting the family or best friend. Uniquely, bubur pedas using vegetables that are not commonly used, such as mangkokan leaf, mengkudu leaf, lime leaves, turmeric leaves and guava leaves are chopped fine and mixed while cooking.
      Pengkang actually has not much different with lemper that already known by many people. If the content is dried shrimp and remains to be roasted. 
        As lemper, Pengkang should also be cooked with coconut milk and stir. Then filled with dried shrimp and wrapped in banana leaves, then steamed until cooked. Uniquely of pengkang is the way to be roasted. Two Pengkangs that have been steamed and clamped using bamboo slats which each end was tied using bundung, a type of heat-resistant vines.
